Reduce Energy Bills and Carbon Footprint with LAD Scheme

Local Authority Delivery Scheme

The Local Authority Delivery scheme (LAD) lad funding is a government initiative designed to help UK families improve the energy efficiency of their homes. The scheme provides subsidies of up to £10,000 to cover the cost of certain energy-efficient upgrades such as insulation, low-carbon heating, and renewable energy generation.

The program is aimed at low-income and fuel-poor households and aims to reduce energy costs and improve energy efficiency across homes. This retrofit will not only help properties reduce energy bills, but it will also reduce their carbon footprint and help fight climate change.

To be eligible for the LAD program, households must meet certain criteria:

  • own or are living in a home with an energy rating of D, E, F, or G
  • have a total annual household income of £30,000 or less
  • own or are living in a home in a local authority running the scheme

The application process for funding is relatively straightforward. Interested households should contact the local authority to have the property evaluated and determine which improvements qualify.

Once an upgrade is agreed upon, the local authority submits a bid for the construction to the budget, and the grant is paid directly to the contractor upon completion of the construction.

It is important to note that the LAD program is only available for a limited time and households must apply before the deadline to qualify for the grant. Additionally, it is important to work with reputable contractors certified by local authorities to ensure work is performed to a high standard.

Overall, the LAD program is a great opportunity for low-income households to make their homes more energy efficient, reduce their utility bills, and reduce their carbon footprint.

ECO4 is backed by large and medium energy suppliers. They have legal obligations under the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme. This includes companies like British Gas, EDF Energy, E.ON, Scottish Power, and Octopus Energy.
